Promotional methods
This page is for merchants and affiliate networks. It lists what I do and what I do not do.
What I do
- Content. Reviews, comparisons and buying guides on this site, aimed at readers in the United States who are about to buy.
- Paid search. Google Search Ads targeting users in the United States, sending people to the merchant or to a page on this site, depending on what each program's terms allow.
What I do not do
- Coupon, deal or cashback sites, or "reveal code" buttons.
- Incentivized traffic (paying or rewarding people for clicking), bots, or purchased traffic.
- Email blasts, pop-unders, toolbars or adware.
- Bidding on a merchant's brand name where the program terms forbid it.
- Cloaking, hidden redirects, or stripping tracking parameters.
- Paid links to build rankings.
Compliance
- I read each program's terms before promoting it and stop when a merchant asks.
- Links to merchants carry
rel="sponsored nofollow". - Every page discloses the affiliate relationship. See the affiliate disclosure.
- I never use a merchant's logo or name in a way that suggests they endorse this site.
